A unique snowshoeing trip between Annecy, La Clusaz, and the Aravis Mountains
The sunset snowshoe hike with aperitifs is a wonderful way to explore the mountains in winter without needing to engage in an overly technical activity. It combines the joy of a snowshoe hike, the beauty of snow-covered landscapes, and the camaraderie of sharing an aperitif in the great outdoors.
Around Annecy, the Semnoz offers the perfect setting to quickly soak up the winter atmosphere, with stunning panoramic views when conditions are right. It’s an ideal area for anyone looking for an accessible snowshoe outing close to the Annecy region, while still enjoying a true mountain setting.
Near La Clusaz and the Aravis Mountains, the atmosphere becomes more alpine. The Beauregard Plateau, the Col des Aravis, or certain areas around Manigod and Le Grand-Bornand can offer wonderful opportunities depending on snow conditions.
Part of the appeal of this outing also lies in choosing the right time of day. As the day draws to a close, the atmosphere in the mountains changes. The colors grow warmer, the shadows lengthen, and silence gradually settles in. An aperitif break gives you time to observe, share, and fully enjoy the setting.
Having a mountain professional as your guide allows the route to be adapted to actual conditions: snow quality, weather, visibility, temperature, the group’s skill level, and safety. In winter, these factors are essential for enjoying the outing with peace of mind.
This activity is particularly well-suited for groups of friends, couples, and families who enjoy hiking, as well as companies or small groups looking for a fun and unique mountain experience. Between Annecy, La Clusaz, and the Aravis Mountains, the snowshoe hike with aperitif is a great way to enjoy a simple, local, and memorable experience in Haute-Savoie.
